Could there "Bee" an additional "Bumble" in the "Toy Box" one day?

Well you just never know what I am going to do next. I guess it is what keeps me going... If you have seen the new movie "Transformers", then you cannot help but notice the color scheme of the 2009 Camaro in the movie. Look familiar? Hmmm, could it be that there could bee a hive of "Bees"? Again, never know.....

Just checking in...

I haven't posted anything for quite a time, so decided to just take 5 and add something... It's a blast to drive this thing around and get all of the looks you get when you are out. The ones most appreciated are the "thumbs up" from guys and gals that I realize (by their apparent age) that they likely drove one of these cars "back in the day".

Nothing to add in relation to the progress on the car, as I am still in a holding pattern for financial reasons. But I am very glad I got it now, because the value and prices are getting way out of reach...

Hmmm... a car an investment? Seems almost unfair... oh well...

Hold On!!! She's running now...

Ok no picture this time, but I will take one soon of the new look of the motor. The new set-up really did the trick. She runs out really strong and no loading up, a very drivable car at this point. Still not quite where I want it because the low end is a little soft yet. We figured out that the cam has a lot to do with that and will add a 2,000-2,200 rpm stall converter to reach the right spot in the HP curve before initiating the wheels...

So much more to do, but plenty of time to get it done...

A blog of a dead man...

Ya, well, it's over now, she is finally going to kill me. I don't know when, but it will happen. When I am gone you all will know why and who did it. I bought a new intake, carb, digital ignition system for HEI conversion, 50,000 Volt coil, and 100kV plug wires... Just the look told me all I needed to know. I barely sleep now as unless I am sure she is asleep, I dare not close my eyes. Even the dog shows me pitty... Oh but the good news, we are reducing our intake and/of carbs. We'll use a little less gas and stop that annoying loading up and fouling of the plugs. (This is car talk and not dieting, in case you haven't figured that out yet.) We'll be down to one reasonably sized carb, and the hottest ignition we can find. So things are looking up for whoever gets the car after she kills me. Save this blog as evidence, maybe I should send a copy to the DA's office... hmmm, will have to give that some thought.

Well I'll let you know when the parts are in how it all works out! Until then duck when she swings and stand still if she throws something... They always miss unless you move! Til then... See Ya!!!

Not!!! But got your attention... Wifey was probably excited by that idea, but just not going to happen...

Haven't been able to drive it much lately, due to way too much dust on our dirt roads, but that's ok.

Time to order parts again... Well at least if is better than many other vises one could have, so look at it from the bright side.

It's an investment! (Well known response from all muscle car guys to wives and family as they grow impatient with our infatuation with these fine pieces of equipment.)

Well enough for today, time to use the VISA!!!

Stuck in the Garage

This is where she spends most of her time. Unfortunately... but that is the life for her now. We will be making some changes soon. We are going to pull out that old points type distributor and give her a new HEI system with a very hot coil and a digital timing system. Then we are going to look into maybe reducing down to one carb and maybe a tranny upgrade as well. Oh, but there will be a lot of chrome under the hood, a lot in-deed! Then when she is ready to run with the wind, we might have to upgrade the brakes to a 4 wheel vented disc system, so we can actually slow her down. It's going to be a hot summer with no AC but that is a little ways down the road right now...

We will also be looking into a fresh restoration in the future as well. Hmmm, maybe a different paint scheme, maybe not... Will have to look into some new paint concepts before making that decision. Any suggestions?

Ok this thing is starting to cost money!

Well bad enough that I had to buy the thing, but now it needs a new front end! My wife is going to kill me, oh well, my life's goal has been met. They tell me this thing is an investment, well it doesn't matter; it goes no where, it stays for life! Which could be only a couple days once my wife finds out what else I am having done to it... hehe, stay tuned, I will post if I can still move my fingers...
